Opportunity W.O.R.K.S. is an employment initiative designed by marcfirst to increase opportunities for businesses to access a new pool of qualified career minded employees and to increase career opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. The purpose of the program is to show employers that people with developmental disabilities are Willing, Optimistic, Reliable, Knowledgeable and Successful on the job. The program begins with an internship phase and if completed successfully, the intern is given the opportunity to apply for any available position at the worksite.
