The Institute is a voluntary association of organizations supporting
services to persons with developmental disabilities. The Institute
seeks to influence public policy development which supports these
services and to engage in activities which will improve the quality
of programs and services throughout the State of Illinois.

Dedicated to ending the mistreatment of every group, whether it
stems from nationality, race, class, gender, religion, sexual orientation,
age, physical ability, job or life circumstance. NCBI trains leaders
in the skills of prejudice reduction, inter group conflict resolution,
team building and coalition building.
